SWIF is supporting the Renewal.Org, — a non-profit organization catering to the needs of the homeless in Shanghai.
Renewal has a drop-in center in Minghang to provide food, a place to shower, and a change of clothes for the homeless. This center also provides training to help put the homeless back into the workforce.
With the closure of the center during this Covid-19 pandemic, homeless people have no place to have a hot meal, shower, change of clothes, or laundry. Our support can save lives.
Our gift will provide food eg., packaged meals and milk for people on the streets.

During this season of centers closures, Sonflowers supports families with:

Baobei
Baobei Foundation provides surgeries and post-surgical rehabilitation for Chinese orphans with life-threatening birth defects. The name Baobei, which means "precious" or "precious child" in Chinese, reflects our belief that each child is precious and each child has a unique contribution to make to this world. Baobei has provided over 200 surgeries for over 100 orphans who were near death, but are now healthy and living with permanent families. We have two main goals:
DO GOOD WORK - We seek to save lives of orphans and provide them with love, care and advocacy so they can grow, flourish and find permanent adoption families.
DO IT IN A GOOD MANNER - We seek to model and inspire charitable giving by operating with integrity, respect for others, and support for the laws and systems of the country in which we operate.
Introducing the Joy-YHY visitation team — another ministry that SWIF supports. Before the pandemic, the Joy-YHY visitation team, made up of volunteers would meet every Friday morning and make their way to YHY (YiHeYuan) elderly home in Jinshan-Shanghai to bring joy to the elderly. Our sister, Canly is one of the founding members of this ministry.
If you speak Mandarin, and feel led to be part of this ministry after the pandemic, pls contact Canly or Michael for more info.
